Gleneagles Station - Rail Timetable Update
Gleneagles Station: Timetable Update Issued on 20 May 2026
On Sunday, 17 May 2026, ScotRail introduced their new rail timetable throughout Scotland. In terms of trains serving Gleneagles Station, there are no material changes from the timetable that had operated since December 2025. Only a small number of journeys have very minor timing changes at some intermediate stations. For local ScotRail services the timetable will operate until 27 September 2026, at which time there may be some tweaks for the autumn. With regards to the LNER Highland Chieftain to/from London, there are no timing changes from 17 May 2026 to the two daily trains serving Gleneagles Station.

Strathallan Community Rail Partnership continues to advocate that additional trains should stop at Gleneagles; with local residents requesting more direct trains to/from Edinburgh.
Strathallan Community Rail Partnership had been keen to have better bus-rail co-ordination at Gleneagles Station. As a result, Docherty’s Midland Coaches revised their Service 19 and 20 timetables to enable more bus journeys from Aberuthven, Auchterarder and Blackford to complement rail services at Gleneagles Station.
